As the names suggest, the two bridges will feature different yet complementary aesthetics. The Woodlands Bridge will be planted with lush greenery akin to the densest stretches of the High Line itself, while the Timber Bridge will feature a more spartan look as it takes people over traffic to the Magnolia Court passageway that runs through Brookfield Properties’ Manhattan West megadevelopment. Together, the new bridges will stretch 1,200 feet to connect the High Line, Moynihan Train Hall, and Hudson Yards — tying together disparate aspects of Midtown West’s recent development while celebrating the successful High Line linear park concept and expanding it into a new neighborhood.
